1- Facebook: It is used to reach subscribers, find out about their satisfaction or dissatisfaction, advertise new products and other uses.
2- We use some hiring sites to make finding and hiring new employees.
3- We use google maps in our business to locate communication tours on maps.
4- We use google Adsense for advertisement of our services and products.
5- We use microsoft sharepoint, offsite installation in ooredoo group site, to manage and share data related to business and technologies.

So we have been using Web 2.0 for some time, we have plans to use even more tools.

  2. Users are in control of their own data! This is much arguable statement. Today with all social media platforms and the date been uploaded to internet, we can think really?! Are we in control of what we upload and put out there on the Web?! It is increasingly arguable with the privacy concerns with Facebook users increasing. Social Medias and Facebook as a more specific example has many personal data from millions of users. So, the question is what happened to those data and how they can be used? However, I can see we are much in control, because we can choose in first place to not become a member of social media platform.
My company uses Google Drive, a cloud bases application for exchanging, adding, editing files remotely. Worth mentioning this was suggested by me to solve the problem of sending files by emails.

  9. Unlike Web 1.0, Web 2.0 facilitates interaction between web users and sites, so it allows users to interact more freely with each other.
n traditional web the contents are solely provider by the web site owner /company, but in web 2.0 the users participate in content sourcing. This is also known as Crowd sourcing.
The typical examples are Wikipedia & You Tube. our directorate use this for publishing some Medical issues related to the general condition in Iraq

In our corporation we have Lafarge LO village, is like a business and social website which we enhance our communcation and share our ideas, innovation and even sharing our challenges and asking for openion and solutino from our collegues surounding the world. Recently we have CRM in Iraq, which we share our schedule with our collegues, sharing news and information, marketing activities and the most interesting part is complaing handling process, once the complain records in the CRM will go directly to the responsible person, and he or she can add his comment and action that will be implemented to solve the complain. And we have another website is like a pool of information and knowledge, just like a liberaray, we can search and find any topics that relates to our entire business IT, HR, Marketing, Logistic…etc. even there are classes and courses which we can take and get certification.

  14. Web 1.0 refers to the early stage of world wide web,the services were more likely for personal uses rather than social, in other words the services were limited.
Web 2.0 is a platform, it is an integrated medium which allows a reader to read a page on yet another computer. It allows users to interact with eachother using social media. The technology includes social networking sites, blogs, wikis, web applications. Google is the standard bearer for web 2.0. The technology allows users to add value, such as giving feedback on a particular product being sold over internet sites this helps other buyers in evaluating the product quality.

Web 2.0 is collaborative, transparent it is on the cloud, which makes collaboration and development of businesses easier. In my previous work our company used gmail for emailingto get in touch which is easy and quick so that all the users could collaborate each others tasks from different places, in some we used skype for conferencing when everyone could not get together in the same place.
